State Rep. Ken Borton, R-Gaylord, today issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court stayed the Biden administration’s emergency mandate requiring workers at large employers to be vaccinated or regularly tested for COVID-19:
“The Biden administration’s mandate was flawed from the beginning, and the Supreme Court rightly shut it down. With this unilateral order from a bureaucratic agency, the federal government tried to crack down on workers over their personal decisions by cracking down on their employers — putting both working families and businesses in a tight spot. Michigan families should be free to choose whether to get vaccinated without the government cutting off their livelihoods.”
