An opportunity to meet and speak with state Rep. Mark Huizenga on Friday in the greater Grand Rapids area has been postponed.

“Due to capacity limitations per social distancing requirements at the location that was slated to host the event, my scheduled office hours event in Rockford on Friday, Oct. 23 has been postponed,” said Huizenga, of Walker. “We have all had to adjust during these unprecedented times, but I am looking forward to other upcoming opportunities to speak with residents about issues and concerns. Anyone who was planning on coming out Friday is free to contact my office at any time.”

Interested individuals can meet with the first-term legislator to ask questions or share concerns at the following locations and times:

• Monday, Nov. 2 from 8-9:30 a.m., at Panera Bread, located at 4400 Lake Michigan Dr. NW in Walker.

• Friday, Nov. 20 from 8-9:30 a.m., at Big Boy, located at 13961 White Creek Ave. NE in Cedar Springs.

Social distancing will be observed at each of the meetings.
